WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. - In celebration of Hilton Worldwide's second annual Global Week of Service, October 6 - 12, more than 15 volunteers from Hilton Garden Inn Wisconsin Dells are helping assist in the cleanup and remodel of homes at Stepping Stone, located on a five acre parcel at 401 Vine Street, Wisconsin Dells. 

Community service is a tradition embedded in Hilton Worldwide's culture, and acts of volunteerism occur year-round across our portfolio of ten distinct brands and 4,000 properties.  Hilton Garden Inn Wisconsin Dells' efforts are a part of Hilton Worldwide's week-long celebration of the company's commitment to serving the communities where we live, work and travel. 

"We're happy that Hilton Worldwide allows us the opportunity to lend our assistance to Stepping Stone," said Judy Alberts, director of sales and marketing, Hilton Garden Inn Wisconsin Dells. "I found out about the project from a local customer, and couldn't help being drawn to this charitable project.  The property was once the first motel in Wisconsin Dells.  Hospitality and the hotel business in this community are the cornerstones of our local economy, so this seemed like the perfect fit!"

Hilton Garden Inn Wisconsin Dells is hoping to complete a long list of improvement projects within the main house of the property resulting in a quicker time frame than Stepping Stone was imagining.  They hope to have the first couple of needy families housed before winter.  The Hotel staff hopes to partner up with St. Vincent DePaul in this endeavor for the future as well.

Global Week of Service is Hilton Worldwide's largest annual volunteer service initiative and brings together Team Members from across Hilton Worldwide's corporate offices and hotel properties, helping to strengthen the company's connections with its communities and bringing it closer together as a global team. About Stepping Stone Permanent Supportive Housing Project
The complex will include 10 affordable apartments, ranging in size from 2-4 bedrooms.  Residents will receive on-site professional, individualized support. Stepping Stone will offer programming workshops on topics including family budgeting, employability, healthy cooking and more. The public is invited to participate in these informative sessions. The facility is geared for families in need of housing during transitional periods affording them the opportunity to access our local schools.
