BRISTOL, UK - Hilton Garden Inn today announced the opening of its latest UK hotel in Bristol's Temple Quay development.  The former Mint Hotel has been converted to Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre and is located in the heart of the city centre opposite Bristol's business district, Temple Meads station and close to Cabot Circus shopping destination as well as the city's historic harbourside. The transformation of the former Mint hotel is part of a wider Hilton Garden Inn portfolio expansion which also includes new openings in Glasgow and Birmingham.

Simon Vincent, area president, Europe, Hilton Worldwide, said, "Across Europe our Hilton Garden Inn brand is represented in more than 20 locations in six countries. We are delighted to now be welcoming guests to Hilton Garden Inn in Bristol, which joins the mid-market brand's UK hotels open in Aberdeen and Luton.  We have now more than doubled the number of Hilton Garden Inn hotels in the UK, providing guests with greater Hilton Worldwide mid-market choice."

Hilton Garden Inn is a popular choice with business and leisure guests across the world, thanks to features such as a complimentary Wi-Fi access, the Garden Sleep System bed, ergonomic chair, as well as 24-hour business centre with remote printing capabilities.

Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre features 167 spacious bedrooms with spectacular city views and excellent facilities for business and leisure guests. The hotel offers a fitness studio with full cardiovascular equipment and the award-winning City Café for both restaurant and alfresco dinning. Just 10 miles from Bristol Airport, the hotel has meeting space for up to 60 people with floor-to-ceiling windows, a unique Butler service button and an Apple iMac in each room as well as enhanced fresh air-conditioning that delivers 30% more oxygen.

Hilton Garden Inn Bristol Temple Quay General Manager, Craig Campbell, said, "The hotel is well-established in a superb city centre location and we are delighted to be part of the Hilton Garden Inn portfolio.  With key improvements to facilities and services, we are significantly enhancing our offering and looking forward to welcoming business and leisure guests to the hotel."

Adrian Kurre, global head, Hilton Garden Inn, said, "We are delighted to expand the award-winning Hilton Garden Inn brand to Bristol and future locations across the UK and Europe.  Business and leisure travellers alike will enjoy the amenities to help them stay successful while travelling."
